This morning our bus left early for Mýrdalsjökull for a Click to enlargesnow scooter ride on a glacier.
Before arriving at the snow scooters, we first visited the first of an enormous amount of waterfalls; namely Seljalandsfoss en de Skógafoss. First one is a narrow one at which you can walk behind the fall itself. The second one is quite wide and high.
The trip by snow scooter took about an hour. Due to bad weather and low clouds the view over the glacier was not that special. The trip itself however was, for most of us, a whole new experience.
After our cold ‘expedition’ we left for Dyrhólaey, the most southern part of Iceland. Here we met the first puffins.
