Today is the last day I have the car. There were a few places left on my list and the first is a visit to the old harbor of Puerto del Carmen. After walking around this old side I went to the new and flamboyant new Playa Grande to have a cup of cappuccino at the boulevard. After stopping at the supermarket for some groceries I went to the hotel and on to another wish on my list; Fundacíon César Manrique. This foundation resides in the house of the in 1992 deceased artist. It was amazing to see how he designed and build the house on 5 lava 'bubbles'. I didn't think much of it at first, but after entering his house I was sold.Click to enlarge}}
After leaving the museum, I drove to 'La Geria' the part of Lanzarote where they grow wine. Funny to see that each plant is growing in its own 'pit'. On lava grounds!
After driving through part of Timanfaya again I went back to the hotel. I planned to get some sun again, but clouds and a few drops of rain prevented me from going to the poolside
